Standing up to the RIAA with Ares

Posted in Uncategorized on March 29th, 2010 by Sam – Be the first to comment

The RIAA has been taking aim at students for illegal file sharing, and now some of them are finally standing up to the organization. There was an article I read recently about Ares filesharing students take on the riaa which I found very interesting. If they are successful maybe more students will do the same and then maybe RIAA will stop targeting the little guys. There are so many people who are much worse offenders than most of the students, and they should be focusing on going after these people instead. Some people are trying to make money off this, not just downloading a few songs for their own use.

Looking For General Filesharing Information

I am looking for some general information about file sharing and would like to learn what other people’s opinions are. I personally don’t have a problem with it, but have never done it myself. I found I my teenagers have been downloading music files like this and I am afraid it is going to get me into trouble. As their father I am obviously the one that is responsible for their actions. They have agreed not to do it until I can find out a little more about it. I have only heard about people getting charged with theft and I want to find out a few more details about these stories.
