In April the UK government said a new law would have applied to more than 30,000 sex offenders on the register, says the Guardian , going in failure to comply “would have carried up to five years’ imprisonment”. When, almost exactly a year ago, military computers were invaded by a worm, the DoD forbade the use of USB thumb drives, memory sticks/cards and camera flash cards, although hard drives were OK as long as “proper procedures” were followed.
