p2pnet news view | Crime:- New York police arrested Rodney Bradford, 19, and held him for 13 days, accusing him of breaking into a Brooklyn residence, armed with a gun. If he’d been convicted, he could have been jailed for 25 years. But he’s now free —- thanks to a Facebook entry, made when the robbery took place.

In April the UK government said a new law would have applied to more than 30,000 sex offenders on the register, says the Guardian , going in failure to comply “would have carried up to five years’ imprisonment”.
